I've never heard of about half of the shows. They are still referring to Burton's "failed" movie.

I've heard of all but 1 of them, but that's probably because it says the show (Spaced) is British. It's also probably because I've followed entertainment for decades - the average person probably doesn't...
(When it comes to US Web sites and columnists, despite many who've backtracked their rhetoric to admit the Depp/DS film wasn't a failure (or a bomb - or a dud - or a whatever), so many more never will. In their minds, no matter how well the film did worldwide, that it didn't do as well in the US means it was a failure, despite the fact that it didn't lose money. Also, films that were real failures don't still have such active online presences as the Depp/DS film still does some 7 years later...)

A friend just wrote to me that every episode of DS is available on Tubi now, for free. They run commercials, which can be a little difficult on streaming because usually the ads are inserted randomly rather than during the actual commercial breaks.

I don't really have a problem with them running commercials because they're a free service. It's better than how some pay services still run commercials and then they charge extra to watch without commercials. But if they're going to run commercials, one would hope the least they could do is run them during a show's actual breaks. How hard would that be? But no, apparently it is too hard for them. [snow_rolleyes]
