It's amazing when you realize how many people it took just to get one shot of Alexandra/Vicki atop Widows' Hill:

Vickie on Widows Hill and she hears the Widows wail. Roger comes along and tells her it’s the Widows moaning with grief. He says the Widows were forced out 150 years earlier by Jeremiah Collins.  Rogers begins to interrogate Victoria over her meeting with Burke. I get the feeling that Roger could send Vickie over the Edge at any moment.
In town, Sam tells Maggie he wants to move away. Maggie seems more tortured than wisecracking.
Carolyn arrives on the cliff ending the tension and sending Roger to see Elizabeth but not telling him Burke is there. When he learns this fact he wavers between going in and fleeing.  The end. Good tension in the episode.

Excellent recap.
Another good opening voice-over. Great opening scene. Both actors are on their game. And I agree, the Maggie we come to know shows up in this episode. I welcome her with open arms. Vicki is learning how to handle Roger and does so quite well up there on Widows Hill. And again, I totally agree, Roger seems poised to give Vicki a quick shove. I like the writing in their scenes together. Maggie's closing in on Sam's torture. I don't remember if she eventually learns the whole truth. I absolutely love KLS's performance in this episode. I bet this is the first time Roger has ever shown contempt for Carolyn. She deserves it. Though I don't remember if it was ever made clear to her, as it was to Vicki, that he is a dangerous man and is to be avoided at all costs.
I got robbed! If it wasn't, this should have been a Friday show. Stalling Burke's and Roger's face to face from Thursday to Monday would have made me stay home from school. I wouldn't have been able to run home fast enough, lol.

We are treated to a rare opening shot of Collinwood. I'll be looking for it again to see just how rare a shot it actually is. I enjoyed this episode very much.

[pointing-up]  I'd so love to answer some of your questions - but I think it will be much more fun for you to learn the answers on your own as you watch.  [ghost_smiley]
