Didn't Maggie have a line in an early show that went something like: "The dregs of the coffee-pot shall be your punishment!" ?

Maggie may have made a remark like that. But I suspect you might be thinking of the scene between Liz and Carolyn where Carolyn complains that when she sleeps late her punishment is the dregs of the coffee. That scene appears in Ep #56.
