Title: Grayson Hall portrait on website
Post by: Gothick on September 16, 2005, 10:42:48 PM
Dear fans, earlier today a friend was kind enough to send me this link to a website promoting a show last summer by Pop Artist Glenn Barr:

http://www.mmoderngallery.com/galleries/25_glenn_barr/

If you scroll down the menu on the lefthand side box, look for "Satan in High Heels" and the main panel on the right will disolay a charming, early Sixties exploitation-style portrait of our very own Grayson Hall in her role in the cult 1962 Times Square feature film.

For fans of the movie, the painting titled "Stacey" depicts Meg Myles (later known for her work on soap operas as well) in her role in Satan in High Heels.

Enjoy!

Gothick

You're welcome, dear!  I did not realize you'd ever seen Satan in High Heels.  Of course there have been MANY stills from the film showcased here...

Gotta love it...the smooth stylized lines of Grayson's cool profile and her slendar fingers  delicately grasping that sleek cigarette holder just...dances across the painting in the most delightful way!   ;D  Thanks for the link, sweetcakes.   :-*

Sorry for the confusion.  I've never seen "Satan In High Heels".  But I'm old enough to remember the "retro" look of mid century art and design from the first time around....[lghy]

The same friend also pointed me towards this site: WARNING, ADULT content (mostly female nudity but they ARE paintings)
http://astrocat.com/samaras/paintings.html

There are several exposed breasts or, as Sister Wendy used to say, "breathtth."

I just love the paintings of Robin and Kato and Morticia and Lily.  Gorgeous!

Terrific links, my sweet Gothina!

I might be wrong, but the painting entitled "The Junkie" is also from SATAN IN HIGH HEELS.  It appears to be of Stacey and the boyfriend she abandons in the first scene.

The "Pepe" painting is amazing!

What a classy caricature of Grayson Hall!

The works on the other website are also clever (Gilligan, the Skipper, too; Ginger and Mary Ann, etc.) ...
