Title: Nancy Barrett
Post by: Brian on May 08, 2017, 03:02:26 AM
I have been watching the end of the 1795 story/episodes (maybe for the 3rd time since the original VHS release—I did not see them in 1968) and I am constantly impressed with Nancy Barrett’s versatility as a character actor. Her other characters (from Carolyn to Charity/Pansy to Melanie, among them all, are validation of her great talent.

Though I love all the actors and appreciate their work, the only other actors on DS who, in my opinion, equal Nancy’s versatility, are John Karlen, Thayer David, Louis Edmonds.

I had never really seen the first (and I mean eps 1-40), if at all, never.

I recently commented on how fantastic I think Nancy Barrett was in those earliest days.

I would've loved seeing her in other venues.
