The Canine Good Citizen Title is a title for dogs offered by AKC to dogs who've successfully passed their Advanced Beginner Course and the final exam. Tonite my Shetland Sheepdog Buzz passed, and is now formally known as
Yardley's Sharp Dressed Man CGC !
Extra pride in the fact that not only am I his owner/handler, but his breeder as well!
Thanks to Midnite, The gang on MIRC and DSF chat, Mark Rainey and others for your support, y'all are the bestest pals! Now it's on to the Companion Dog Title!
Always, Minja ;D
Of course we were inspired by Mr. Hackett's obedience training mantra, "If it feels good, SIT!" ::)

Congratulations!!!! I assume posting a picture here would be frowned upon, but is there somewhere we could see it?

CGC testing was held in our training building, not as part of a more formal dog show, so no photographer. Just a tee shirt and jeans kinda atmosphere. I'll probably wait until we get our CD title at a show with a professional photographer to get a pic. Thanks for the congrats! You too Prof!

How wonderful for Mr. Buzz. The Yardley bit makes me feature him in a trench coat, slouch hat, and perhaps a pipe. Tail wagging occurs discreetly off camera.
My cat Simona holds the title Plump Princess of Boston Ave. She was not awarded it, however--she simply seized it, slashing into ribbons with a casual paw anything or anyone that got in her way, as she has since time began.
That's my gal.
cheers, G.

LOLOL, He definitely is more a rebel like our DS friend Mr.Hackett, and sporting a black and white coat, really fits the Buzz profile.
Simona (luv that name!) does sound devine! While I don't know her breed, I seem to envision a plump Persian, with a mini tiara, raising her paw a la Grayson's ye olde slapping hand! Yes indeedy, cats are the rulers of their domain fer sure! [/color]
Always, Minja :)
Dogs think you're God, Cats know they're God! ;)
