Ooooh, Oooooh. I had fallen asleep on the couch with MeTV running Saturday, and woke up to "Car 54 Where Are You?" which I have loved since I was a kid. Part of the plot had Officer Nicholson (Hank Garrett) talking to his partner Officer Schnauser (Al "Grandpa" Lewis) about his date with a hot redhead, a "real tomato." At the very end of the episode, I would swear his date turned out to be Marie Wallace. The actress is not listed in the credits, which is why this would escape being listed on Car 54's imdb credits. Anyone know for sure? The title of the episode was "One Sleepy People" from Season 2.

Here's that part of the episode: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0qRDQnQaW8&feature=relmfu (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0qRDQnQaW8&feature=relmfu)
The actress appears in the scene that begins around the 3:33 mark, and it certainly does look like Marie Wallace.

Sure looks like Marie. We'll have to ask her next time she's at an event.

i think it is her. i have a vague memory of this being listed as 1 of her credits somewhere. it may have been in a publication that world of ds put out in the 80s called SHADOW STAR PRINTS. i think thats what it was called.

It's her--she said she had been on that show.

It's Marie, all right! I saw that episode for the first time years ago on Nick at Nite, she played Fred Gwynne's date in that episode, and her character's name was 'Sheila'. I thought everyone knew about that episode, kinda surprising that some don't know about it. Should I also mention Marie's later appearance on "Fame" in the 1980s?

Thanks Charles,
It just proves that IMDB can be in error or incomplete. BTW, she is Hank Garrett's date on that episode, not Fred Gwynn's date. The scene also has Al Lewis and Charlotte Rae as scene stealing Schnausers. Marie's unlisted credits on IMDB should also apparently are missing a Phil Silvers show I saw reference to on her website.

<LOL> To clarify, 'Schnauser' is the characters' last name and not their breed...
