This is Betsy Durkin at her table where she is selling her new book.
-
Thanks for sharing the picture. Have fun at the festival.
-
Hmm. She looks not unlike a no-guff private school headmistress who'd happily whack you upside the head with a two-by-four the first time you said, "I don't understand."
-
Who is she? Who is Betsy Durkin and what is this book?
-
Betsy Durkin was the second Victoria Winters.
This is Scott Handcock and Stuart Manning, the authors of the "dark Shadows reborn" audio dramas parts one and two.
-
They did a great job of reconstructing the Collinwood Drawing Room on the stage.
-
This is Jim Pierson at the microphone; another host with Marilyn Ross, the widow of Dan Ross. the author of the DS Paperbacks; The original painting of the cover to Ross paperback #1 "Dark Shadows".
-
Conard Fowkes (Frank Garner 1966-1967); Kathryn Leigh Scott & Conard Fowkes; Lara Parker
-
John Karlen sneaking on the couch while Lara Parker answers some questions. She had a real puzzled look on her face as the audience clapped for John and she was confused as to why.
John giving Lara a nice, long kiss.

Wow, this is cool THANK YOU for posting. I'm not a Vicky fan so I'd forgotten there were two. Hope she had fun.
Is Marilyn Ross still available to ask questions? Who owns the copyright to her hubby's novels? REPRINTS? KLScott, are you listening?? REPRINTS.
I have them all on CDROM and could post them for free download but not sure if the powers that be would be thrilled with that idea. Bummer. Buy a moldy book then and sneeze every other word.

The fans.
-
More fans.
-
David Selby at the Dealers Room and on stage giving a tribute to Dan Curtis.
-
Jerry Lacy at the Dan Curtis tribute; Marie Wallace selling her book.
-
Christopher Pennock; a lonely dealer selling pictures.
-
I'm not a Vicky fan so I'd forgotten there were two.
There was also Carolyn Groves for three episodes as well. ;)
Thanks so much for the pictures, Joeytrom!
-
The pics are wonderful, Joey! It makes me nostalgic. I went to the 2003 festival for one day after docking back in New York following a cruise to Bermuda. I couldn't think of a better way to end a cruise.

Thanks for the pictures, Joeytrom! Do you know how many people are attending?
-
Yes, indeed, thanks for the pictures, Joeytrom!!
-
Wonderful pictures - thanks so much!! :) :)
-
great pics joey. they did great job reconstructing the drawing room. however they never used it during the recreation of the 1st and last episodes! what a waste. bad enuf they were just standing in front of microphones reading scripts but it could have been so much better if they did the drawing room scenes from those episodes in the drawing room set! especially the final scene from the final episode where melanie is put on the sofa. there was a nice sofa right there waiting and they didnt use it!

Jim Pierson seemed about two seconds from going postal on people any time he was onstage. I felt for him, with the hotel staff noisily setting up one side of the stage while panels were happening on the other side of the stage.
The WB pilot was interesting. They were sure trying to cram a lot of story into that first pilot. I'd have watched the show, but there was no charm of the original to be found.
I enjoyed watching the auction as well. The damn Barnabas figure I sold on Ebay for $70 went for over $100 at the auction! On the other hand, the ring I found on Ebay for $30 went for $70. Crazy.
-
Wow! Thanks for the fantastic pics! I'm really bummed I didn't get to go this year, maybe the next!
-
I was let down by the panels. Two whole questions that everyone has heard before. They get all these folks in a room, and no one can ask anything new or interesting. Some kid asked the cameraman if he ever wanted to work with George Romero...
Selby reading from his book was actually pretty entertaining. He read a number of passages about his dad, who died last week. It was all I could think about when I watched them all together (he's on the left- sorry for the crappy pic).
-
Thanks for downloading the pics. I really enjoyed them. I too unfortunately couldn't attend this year.
-
I haven't been on here in awhile but was glad to come and visit today. Fantastic photos! looks like a great festival- thanks for posting.
Has anyone read any of the new auto biographies? Thoughts?

That drawing room set was da bomb! We took our annual group picture up there after the banquet. I agree Joe that it's a shame they didn't use it for the reenactments, I thought that was what it was built for frankly. Anyway, I hope they bring that to every Fest from now on, it was too cool for school!
