--- NEW AUDIODRAMAS UPDATE
The SG Updates List and SG in print have detailed the series of new DS audio dramas on 4 CDs, being produced by Big Finish Productions of Great Britain. This List and the print issues will continue to report on the CDs. There are "4 single CD dramas. Each CD contains a complete story in 3 episodes."

Each story carries the characters long past 1971, when DS ended on TV. Each also reunites the original cast members with their original roles: David Selby as Quentin, Lara Parker as Angelique, John Karlen as Willie, and Kathryn Leigh Scott as Maggie. There also are new characters who may be villains or may be friends of the Collins family, plus more twists and turns in events and relationships.

Recorded in Hollywood in May, the first 2 are to debut at the Brooklyn Fest with a general release date in September. The next 2 CDs are due for release in November. For more information, go to  www.darkshadowsreborn.com

Publicity 8-06: "'DS: The House of Despair' reintroduces the characters to both the actors and audience alike after a gap of nearly 35 years." It "sets up mysteries that would be impossible to solve within the space of a single CD, and hints, clues, and developments are peppered across the 4 stories." The second, "DS: The Book of Temptation," brings in a new character. This "mysterious phantom" is "a woman trapped in a book" and "looking for a way out," as described by guest actor Daphne Ashbrook, who appeared in Dan Curtis' 1992 CBS minsieries "Intruders." Lara on continuing DS through the audio dramas: "Audio asks the listener to create the entire scene in their head, and so it's really the audience who are creating the drama, just by listening to these voices. The audience has to participate very, very strongly in audio drama, and that's excellent for Dark Shadows."

--- FAN SHARING: All fans attending Lara's book signings, the Brooklyn Fest, and the Hollywood evening event are invited and encouraged to please send their reports and photos, plus local media publicity, interviews, and articles, to ShadowGram at SG's postal- or e- mail addresses below. Please also send any similar material relating to the audiodramas.

These will be shared with SG readers - including the DS cast and crew and fans worldwide - in print issue SG #109 and subsequent SGs.  A complimentary Contributor's Copy SG print issue is given in thanks for major contributions.

The SG Online DS News Updates List will update all this news and print issue SG #109 will have the latest complete developments, photos, reports, and additional information.

Thank you.
