Maybe it was also Charles Delaware Tate, perhaps better known as the "Methuselah of Dark Shadows"? [grim]

I remember when my dad turned 50 when I was a kid, I thought he was as old as Ezra Braithewaite!! Now that I have friends who are turning 50, I don't think it's so old. ;)

Most of my friends are leaving their college age kids to fend for themselves, while they travel, go back to college, switch careers, and take up new hobbies. 50 is the new 35.......[lghy]
