Title: What if the DS pilot.......
Post by: jimbo on July 21, 2006, 10:27:00 PM
was shown on the Youtube website like the discarded pilot discussed in this article which has now been reborn based on the large amount of hits:

I am sure the DS pilot will never be played at that website and that the passage of time has placed this particular pilot in a dead status, but it might be interesting to see how much of an interest the public would have in a new DS project.

Here is another rejected pilot to see the light of day. Is the 2004 DS pilot next?

Housefly Cameo the pilot will be shown at the Fest so the former Dan Curtis Productions has the pilot; I am sure the soon to be defunct WB has it or probably shipped it to China for burial; John Wells Productions probably also has a copy that they sent to its archives as well as any other co-producer.

I sure hope so!  That would be cool!  What a great opportunity!  Since they spent $6 million to make it you'd think they'd want to take advantage of an opportunity like this to have it seen!  Do they make any money from having these available on the web or do they have to upload them for free?  I was just wondering because you can watch the one on YouTube for free but it costs $1.99 to watch the one on itunes so I wondered if the producers get any of that money.  If they do, there would be a chance for the producers/owners of the DS pilot to make some money from it.  (Which they could use to get it going on tv -- woo hoo!  LOL!)

It's too bad they can't put it on DVD and sell it at the Fest to recoup some of that 6 mil.  I know *I'd* buy it, but I don't think it works that way unfortunately.   :'(
