15 Best One-Word Horror Movies Of All-Time, Ranked
From psychological thrillers to supernatural scares, these single-word horror films prove that sometimes less is more when it comes to pure terror (https://www.complex.com/pop-culture/a/marc-griffin/15-best-one-word-horror-movies-of-all-time-ranked?utm_source=firefox-newtab-en-us)

I love so many of their choices. And one that I want to see but haven't gotten around to yet is definitely Sinners.

I finally got a chance to see Sinners.  For most of it I had no idea what was happening.  I had a hard time telling one character from another or just what they were doing.  Every time they encountered someone new, they seemed to have a past history with that person, but since we didn't know what that was, I couldn't understand their current interactions.  Suddenly it switched into the horror mode, which seemed to come out of nowhere.  I can't decide if that part was exciting or not.  I was still mostly confused as to what was actually happening.  Overall, I think it's the worst movie I've ever seen!!!  With all of the raves and nominations, etc., it seems amazing that this was what they were talking about.

Josette, I'm surprised by your reaction. I haven't gotten around to watching it yet, so I don't have a first hand opinion. But many of my friends have seen it and they loved it. But of course, a reaction to any film is always subjective.  [hall_wink]

I read some more reviews, etc. about it, and apparently there was more to the themes etc. than I realized.  However, as I said, for the most part I couldn't tell who was who or what exactly was happening, or what anyone's relationships were, so really couldn't follow it.  After reading the synopses, I understand a bit more, but none of that was apparent to me in watching. it.
