Yup, that's right, for those of you who might have been waiting to print and send the online form....
I just got the mailed admission form I sent for a couple of months ago, which caused me to check up on
http://darkshadowsfestival.com
which I had been doing every day I was online, but had not since Monday.
And Lo and behold, the form itself is there. Still $25 for 3 days ($15 p/ day); Bus trip to South Street Seaport with John Karlen $18 (unless you walk or take a taxi), Sunday's banquet $65. (I'm reading this directly from my admission form.)
However, they haven't gotten around to updating the information page as of a few minutes ago when I last checked, though the link on the home page itself has been changed. No doubt the rest of the data will be up soon.
So far, the form I received only lists 8 actors: David Selby, John karlen, Nancy Barrett, Marie Wallace, Lara Parker, Kathryn Leigh Scott, Jerry Lacy, Diana Millay. Here, we've recently heard that Betsy Durkin and Chris Pennock are also supposed to attend.
(We can HOPE there'll be more.) Perhaps the online updates will reflect this?
Just thought I'd let y'all know...

The Fest's Current News page lists Pennock, Durkin and Donna McKechnie as added guests.
Listed among the Fest events is a screening of the Pilot. I wonder what day this'll be on?

Probably on Saturday as that is the day when they seem to have the most ppl attending.

In Tarrytown, the pilot was shown on Sunday afternoon, which is the slot they seem to reserve for the "big draw" events. However, if they're going to have a live on stage thing, the pilot may have to be bumped to a Sat. slot. Who knows.
Just remember, no matter what it says on the printed schedule, it is ALL subject to change at the last minute.

$65 for the Banquet made me raise my eyebrows.
You might want to eat on your own before that "meal" is served... just my two drachmae!

The big question is whether or not Donna McKechnie will show up. Seems as if she always cancels her appearances at the last minute. ::)

Did they show it in Tarrytown? I thought they showed it for the first time last year in Hollywood. Can't believe I would have missed it in Tarrytown. :-

The food *is* pretty bad, and definately overpriced. However, I look at it this way now, it goes to charity, usually Equity Cares about AIDS. I always get the vegatarian meal, even though I'm not a vegatarian, because it's usually better than a rubber pigeon or overcooked beef. ;)

Hi Buzz, it was shown late Sunday afternoon, I think, in T'town. I missed it because I needed to get home. Actually, they might have only shown a clip from it in T'town. Since I missed it (and my curiosity about the whole affair is at a rather low level), I'm not sure. Perhaps someone who was there will chime in about it.

My guess would be that the chances are better than usual this year that she will be in town that weekend. Her new autobiography, Time Steps: My Musical Comedy Life (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0743255208/criseydsdarkshad), is supposed to begin shipping on August 29, and I would really be surprised if she didn't hold some sort of signings in the NYC area to mark its release.

Now I remember, they DID only show a couple clips, I remember seeing them actually (DUH!). I now distincly remember remarking to friends how the opening was exactly like the NBC show (train going up the coast etc...) ;) Forgive, the brain is DUSTY, LOL! ::)

What I remember most about the clips was, Barnabas had been reinvented as Shane Bryant's Dorian Gray, even down to the fact they had used what appeared to be Shane's Dorian Gray portrait, probably repainted the original with the new guy's face. (sigh, I hate to see it wasted like that.) I would not be surprised if that's one of the ways they cut corners. Somehow, the whole thing with the larger portrait worked against it. I think the more classic "bust" works better for a vampyr's portrait.
