Rodger:  Why son I already did pay and gave quite a hefty tip to make it turn out that way.  It’s the little things in life like that that give me joy.

David’s one act play about statues didn’t impress Rodger, but amused him somehow.  He couldn’t come up with a concrete reason, maybe the script was just sculpted well.
