A few years ago I caught the end of what seemed like a mini marathon of a black and white show.
It was about a former private eye / detective and his misadventures with his wife (or fiancé maybe girlfriend?).
Can’t pin down enough details to google it, but the few episodes I saw were pretty fun and funny. Unlike the The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show (love that) I haven’t seen it on tv since.
I imagine that reruns of the show might have aired more often back in the day.

Maybe Boston Blackie?

Or possibly the TV version of The Thin Man, with Peter Lawford and Phyllis Kirk as Nick and Nora Charles, with Nita Talbot as their recurring nemesis, Blondie Collins. There's at least one episode on YouTube.

Looking at the introduction I think it’s probably The Thin Man TV show.
I could only find clips on YouTube, so I’ll have to check around maybe find something streaming I have a subscription with or free with commercials.
Thanks you Uncle Rodger and thanks for guessing patrickm.

Another possibility is Mr. and Mrs. North. It ran in syndication for many years I believe.
Here's a selection of episodes:

I might like it whether or not it is.
Thanks ^_^
