Sam opts for the rugged Victor Mature/"Tony Powell" mucho-macho trenchcoat look from "After the Fox," while Roger opts for the refined Clifton Webb/"Eliott Templeton" lord-of-the-manor smoking jacket look from "The Razor's Edge."

F'ing unbelievable, Bob!!   "After the Fox" is my favorite comedy of all time, and it always seems no one but me has heard of it!   The wrong man has escaped!

MT,

I love the part in which Martin Balsam, Victor Mature's agent, yells, during some schlocky Fellini-esque scene, "Tony, don't forget your trenchcoat. It's your trademark."

To which Mr. M. replies, "I have a new trademark.  It's called acting!"  ;D

Bob, remember all that stuff in the Rome hotel room?  A few years ago, Martin Balsam actually died in an Italian hotel room!   I don't mean to sound so happy about it!

Messrs. Ford and Edmonds pass the time while the telepromter gets fixed.  PS: I've got After The Fox on DVD!

MT,

Yes, the late Martin Balsam, a great character actor, indeed!  (Mr. Balsam would have been a terrific King Johnny Romano, imho.)

"Sing Savalio, sing!!!"  :D

David Ford and Louis Edmonds try holding their breath until Dan Curtis gives them a raise. Since this episode is in black and white, we are unable to see how many shades of blue they turned.
