Title: Mitchell Ryan Upcoming on Cannon
Post by: Josette on January 25, 2022, 09:16:12 AM
I happened to notice the listings ahead of time this time, and recognized this one as one that has Mitch.  It's Tuesday - Wednesday night (Wednesday, 1/26 at 3:00 AM Eastern) on MeTV.  Title is "Fool's Gold."

Thanks for the heads up, Josette.  [snow_smiley]  I'll set my DVR...

The other day I was watching Star Trek:  The Next Generation on BBC America, and who played Riker's father from Valdez, Alaska?  Burke Devlin!  I forgot all about that episode.

I forgot that he was Riker's father, but I think I can recall him now.

I just finished watching this and here's an image from the opening credits by once again using my phone to get -

- a screen capture from my DVR.

I was almost fooled into thinking his character was dead before the opening credits even ran, well, until I saw that Max Gail's character had put him in the front seat of the car. And speaking of Max Gail, did he look young! And Pamela Payton-Wright also guest starred - I really enjoyed her work on dozens of other shows back in the day...

And after learning Chris Pennock is coming up, I set my DVR to just record the series rather than the individual eps. And what did I discover? Another DS actor (albeit a VERY brief one), Barnard Hughes appears in the 8th ep of Season 1, Dead Pigeon. And here's a screen capture from that ep -

- by using my phone.

As some may recall, Barnard, as Stuart Bronson, has the distinction of being one of the very few DS actors to share the screen with a TV set -

- as can be seen in that screen capture from Ep #27 - not to mention he did his scenes with Mitch Ryan...

The one with Barnard Hughes was the other night, but I didn't realize he had a DS connection!
