The one unlikelihood I didn't include in the list:

Strange happenings that absolutely cannot be attributed to anything supernatural or paranormal.

I might have included that except that [spoiler]the final episode of Dark Shadows spoiled that possibility where, " For the first time at Collinwood, the marks were indeed those of an animal."[/spoiler]
