For those who may have missed it--the site does allow 3 or 4 free views per month still, I believe. I don't have a subscription and I was able to read it.

Thanks so much for the link, Gothick.  [ghost_smiley]  It's great to see DS have an article in such a widely read enterprise like the New York Times. And it's nice to see in print what I've always believed: 'Sometimes “Dark Shadows” is messy and unpolished. That’s human'. Exactly - in real life people often trip over their words - that makes DS very true to life. But one thing the article claims I do not agree with because DS WAS NOT campy. It was always played straight, and I wish people would get through their heads that no one involved with it camped up the proceedings. Were things sometime over the top? Sure. But that was always for dramatic effect, not campy effect...

Nice read. I also followed the link from the article to "11 DS Actors You Didn't Know Were Gay" and found new information there as well.
