:'(
.... At one point during the '90s, he was a frequent guest on the Howard Stern radio show, once sending the shock jock diving for the delay button by leading an undeniably obscene chant against the Federal Communications Commission.
Yes! [hello]
Yay Grandpa

I just read that Al "Grandpa" Lewis had died. That really made me sad. He was great. Betty Friedan had died too. Jeepers Creepers, it's a sad day. I read "Feminine Mystique" when I was in eleven grade, changed my life for the better. Farewell Grandpa and Betty. I'm going to miss you.

I was sorry to hear about Al Lewis. His characters Schnauzer and Grandpa are forever etched in my mind. I remember hearing him on the Howard Stern show. He had Howard a little nervous with comments like F--- the FCC. He seemed to be a wild guy who had a blast till the very end. And 95 isn't a bad run. Elmont...

I have a great memory of meeting Al Lewis at his old Bleecker St restaurant, "Grandpa's Belle Gente" in 1988. He was the definition of " a real character." He spoke to each table, took a photo with me, then waltzed into the kitchen and began yelling at the staff, mostly for the entertainment value. Actually, the food was very good and affordable by Manhattan standards. I loved the Munsters growing up and still do. I guess he and "Hoiman" are having a blast in that great lab in the sky. RIP Grandpa!!!! [blackbat] [frankie] [Witch_Potion_Animated] [Wolfie]

Grandpa was the funnest on the "Munsters", , how he use to come up out of the basement trap door with all the smoke was great.
