Title: Life Issues
Post by: dvlvan26 on February 02, 2006, 06:38:45 PM
Hey Cousins!

I am still waitng for my baby to be born.

Does anyone think that DS dealt with life issues (i.e. divorce, mental illness, morals, etc.)? If so, how was any particular issue dealt with?
What's your opinion ?

Love, dvlvan26

Sure,
Roger was in the process of divorcing Laura when she died in her own fire in the fishing shack,
anyone w/a mental illness, or vampire bite etc...was sent to Wyndcliffe and the various Trask's were onhand to dispense morality to everyone!  LOL!   :P

Goddess, NO!!  The Collins answer to every family problem was to murder someone.  And their child-raising skills were absolutely non-existant.....any pair of cats would have made better parents.  ::)

[lghy]  You've got that right!  [b003]

But seriously, it's hard to imagine anyone could have worse parenting skills than the Collinses. I mean, just look at what a dysfunctional group they are - from 1680PT's Brutus right down to Present Day RT's Liz and especially Roger.  :tsk:

I remember the early incarnation of Roger would have probably eaten David if he thought he could get away with it.  He did mellow, considerably, though.  He chilled to the point where he claimed to love his son, though he almost never believed anything he said!  Oh, well,  at least the kid could sleep without locking the door against his old man.  Come to think of it, early David had a homicidal streak in him too!  The good ole Bleeder Valve!

I'll drink to that... ;)
Amazing the family survived, especially with all the curses and whatnot.
But then, they are the Collins' of Collinsport...

Divorce was never an option among the Collinses.  They simply offed their spouses (or locked them away).  Heck of a lot cheaper than dealing with lawyers.

True, but I like to think that Bramwell and Catherine were good parents.  God knows they were both willing to die for each other and that kid.  ;)
