I need help, please! Does anyone know where I can find online a copy of this religious pamphlet that was passed out by the Southern Baptist church back in the 60s that said DS promoted satanism. I thought I read it somewhere online before. I want to show my friends. They don't believe me.
-
Never heard of it but I'd love to see it! Sounds Great!

Jack Chick is a famous publisher of religious tracts. You might find something if you "Google" him.
-
I have definitely heard of this pamphlet. I THINK I may have even seen a reprint of it in a book but my memory is hazy on that. I definitely read about it in one of the DS zines or fan books several years ago. The image supposedly depicted the devil gleefully watching a television with the words "Dark Shadows" on the screen! [santa_rolleyes]
They supposedly made a similar one for Bewitched too.

Well, it's not Dark Shadows, but I did find the pamphlet for Bewitched at the following link. Thanks to Claude for the tip.

Isn't it a bit surprising that Mr. Chick hasn't updated this booklet to have Mr. Scratch [devil] watching "Harry Potter" films? I just want to say all Christian churches don't act this way, thankfully. As a matter of fact as Wise Person # 2 in the Christmas pageant this year, I gave the gift of...Frankenstein! [frankie] Yep, when I opened my box, it held my 12" Sideshow Karloff Frankie. The kids who played Mary, Joseph and the angels loved it. [angel4] [angel5] So, I can state the Methodists I know are pretty cool.

Let's not give him ideas. Although, sadly, there are already more than enough people protesting the Harry Potter books and films. ::)
The more things change, the more they stay the same. :tsk:

I love it. [lghy]
