A couple of years ago I stumbled across a link, I don't remember where, to a streaming video of a film called SCREAM OF DARK SHADOWS.
Sometime in the late '60s or early 70's, a budding independent film-maker produced this little 8 or 16mm homage to our favorite show using a cast of children and pre-teens, and the results are pretty damn impressive.
It wasn't available for download, and I didn't have the foresight to make note of the film-makers name.
I highly recommend this film and would love to see it again. Does anyone have more information?

I have a friend, who's a long time fan, but don't think he's a cousin here, who has a video of what you describe. It was quite bloody actually, but good. I think the kid that mastermind it even went on to producing as an adult. Is that what you're talking about?

That sounds cool! I'd like to see it as well.

I tried googling it, but couldn't find it. I hope someone can find and share it with all of us. It sounds interesting.

Sounds like it could be, the film was on the film-makers own website and he was definitely in the business.
I don't remember it being bloody, but it very well may have been.
I remember a plot-point that involved a painted portrait of a boy wearing a straw hat, and a boy who mysteriously appears who bears an uncanny resemblance to the boy in the portrait, and he wears the same straw hat!

I was going to suggest You Tube and what do you know?

Cute! It reminds me of when I and my friends use to play Dark Shadows.
I'm surprised at the kids crawling, running, jumping all over that roof. Undoubtedly when their parents found out, things got a bit "bloodier."

LOL! Thanks for posting the link!

AWESOME! This is a riot. Kids using the word "betray" and running around on a roof in capes and fangs. What could be better? Sorry Johnny Depp and Tim Burton. I think we've found the director and stars of the new DS movie.
Thank you for posting the link retzev!
Hexoxo,
