I don't really see a difference - it seems to be a chronological description of all the major stories.

Some of the differences are subtle, like they end the Laura storyline with Ep #192, we end it with Ep #193. They also consider Adam and Cassandra/VampAng as separate storylines, but they're really very much intertwined. However, perhaps the most glaring difference is that they completely ignore Eps #193 through #204, and to me that is sinful. The introduction of Jason, the start of his blackmailing of Liz, and the James Hall Willie eps are some really great eps. The scenes between Liz and Jason alone are spectacular in those eps - to ignore them is blasphemous! But then they seem to ignore the whole Jason/Liz blackmail plotline entirely because they make no mention of it whatsoever, and to me that is beyond blasphemous because, as I've said numerous times, I think it's the best non-supernatural plotline DS ever did.

Well, of course I wasn't paying attention to episode numbers, just following the summary of the stories! True, the Jason - Liz story is important. I guess with everything else listed, I didn't realize it was missing. But overall I think they did a very good accounting.

It's a nice overview and helped me quickly place my current viewing in context. But I wouldn't trade it for my Dark Shadows episode guide.

No doubt there are many significant gaps in this online guide. I was wondering how Quentin came to be in present-day Collinwood and then in my recent watching of the "1995" sequence, Quentin's portrait came up. So I remember that there was a portrait but don't recall when it was painted, etc. Searched this recent online guide and there's no mention of it! A pretty significant omission, wouldn't you say?

The painting of Quentin's portrait is a significant element in the second half of 1897, the part where Count Petofi is the main villain.
MB I definitely agree that omitting Jason and those incredible episodes with those great scenes between him and Liz (which gives the lie to folks who say that Joan Bennett wasn't any good on DS) is unforgivable. I barely glanced at the article so did not really think very much about what they were suggesting.

Didn't Quentin's portrait overlap several other storylines than just 1897? It comes up again, briefly, in 1995 . . .

The Hand of Petofi should have been mentioned.
I thought Morgan & Bramwell were cousins, not brothers....
The article made it seem that DS was still being aired on Sci-Fi.
Surprised they mentioned the '04 pilot.
