Cath and Bramwell embrace in the room. Kendrick feels he would have broken the curse. Morgan tells them that Cath is gone forever and Julia realizes where. In the room, Cath thinks she is Amanda but comes to her senses. A crazed Morgan tells Julia and Kendrick that he will keep the lovers locked in the room. The trio go to the room to unlock and Morgan has a gun. Cath and Bramwell make the lottery part bearable. And the end is nigh.

It looks like an early American representation of the British expression about a person being “toffee-nosed” or stuck-up.
