And in another of the forum's seemingly ever increasing Who Knew? series: who knew that one day David Boreanaz (vampire Angel on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel) would be wielding a Barnabas cane - or rather a wolf's head cane?
In tonight's episode of Boreanaz' new FOX series Bones, he took the baddie's wolf's head cane away from him (it turned out to be a murder weapon) and starting wielding it around in an effort to defend himself. The whole scene was just too, too wild, not to mention surreal for this DS and Buffy/Angel fan. :D Unfortunately, though, I didn't tape the show or else I'd share some screen captures. But there's always the repeat...

I would've loved to have seen that.... :)

It's too bad none of us live in another time zone and can record it. :-X

I thought of that - but I figured there was no guarantee that you'd see the topic or a PM before the show aired on the West coast. ;) But I suppose I should have known better and that you'd be right there with your VCR remote in hand. :D
Great captures. [thumbright]

It was quite a surreal moment being reminded of the Barnabas beating Willie scenes in the new Angel show where he really isn't Angel. Freaky....

LOL. I feel lucky to have seen your post in time.

Thanks for the caps! It's so funny to see him with the cane.
I watched the pilot of Bones but it didn't hook me.

Unlike a certain ABC series that was just canceled, Bones has only gotten better with each subsequent episode. And given the often dark subject matter, it's surprising how funny it can be. Sure, murder, mahem and humor mixed well on both Buffy and Angel, but Bones doesn't have a genius like Joss Whedon behind it, so it's unexpected to see that sort of combination working well again.

I barely even knew this show existed--I vaguely recall seeing an ad for it, somewhere or other.
Having seen the images, this looks like a for-sure nod to DS fans from somebody on that show.

Great subject and caps!!
Funny, I believe 2 other Buffy alums are on different networks at competing times (though not against Bones).
I've seen a couple of minutes of Bones, because I watch House right after it.
It's not 'T H E' cane, is it?

Yep, it is! It must have been intentional.

"The Man in the Wall" will repeat next Tuesday (Dec. 27) at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.

Yep, it is! It must have been intentional.
I saw this episode last night (12/27), and though it vaguely resembles Barn's cane, I do not believe it is his cane.
IMHO,

I think they nailed it.
