I was sitting through the second episode today pondering the same thing.  I finally figured that they just didn't show it .....?!?

Anyone else think the same thing?????

My guess is that Bennett had done her allotted number of episodes for the week and they didn't want to pay her  ;), either that or she had something else doing.

I don't recall her ever testifying, and looking through the program synopsis book, I saw no mention of it in any of the episodes (but I only did a quick scan).  I think Luciaphil is right - Miss Bennett did her number of shows and that was it - off she went to shop, dust, vacuum and get that pile of laundry done.  Even movie stars need clean clothes.

Did Naomi (Jean Simmons) testify in the '91 revival?  I remember her being at the trial.

It seemed that Curtis limited his episodes to about five major actors/actresses. It was only on a rare occasion that more appeared. In this one there was Parker, Davis, Lacy Moltke, and David- Bennett would make the count too many for that day.
