Liz,  I want to run things, I know I can run things better than Quentin has. He can't even control his wife.  [protest] [protest] [pissd]

Joan Bennett: Dan, what do you mean in the next storyline I'm not mistress of Collinwood? I'm always mistress of Collinwood? MAGGIE will be mistress of Collinwood? Nothing doing! >:(

Just because Elizabeth has class and manners doesn't mean that she couldn't make lunch meat out of Angela Channing or JR Ewing!

(Oh, I would have loved to have seen Liz go toe to toe with either - or even both at the same time!!  [toothy12])

I would have loved to have seen Elizabeth make a visit to Pine Valley.  She would have sized Erica  up immediately.  And I can easily  picture her being old buddies with Phoebe. I can just picture her pulling Phoebe aside to have a few words about Langley.

Since Joan was willing to make an appearance on Guiding Light, it's a shame that none of the ABC soaps approached her about a short term role.

([pointing-up]  That is a shame! Luckily I was watching GL when she was on there. I was really into the Nola storyline that Joan was a part of...)

I had scaled back my soap viewing by then, so I believe that I first saw Joan's appearance when it was screened at the festival.

([pointing-up]  I forget exactly how many eps Joan was on, but as I recall it was only a handful.)

Having her appear as herself was a great idea in some ways but, in others, it limited story opportunities. I'm a bit surprised that Ryan Murphy has yet to adapt the Jennings Lang incident into one of his shows. It seems like it would right up his alley.

Elisabeth:  David painted the stables brown with what!!!

——
Elisabeth:  Jeb was actually a what?  How could you let Carolyn marry that thing?

——
Elisabeth:  You think Rose Cottage is actually cottage cheese with rose water added?  That’s a worse abomination than Mrs. Johnson’s beefy vanilla mint mayonnaise.
