Title: Joan Bennett's 1972 TV movie on "WE" channel
Post by: Gothick on August 10, 2005, 07:56:15 PM
Fans, a friend of mine who, unlike myself, has cable, reported that he saw most of Joan Bennett's 1972 TV movie, "Gidget gets married," on a broadcast on WE (Women's Entertainment) last Monday (in the afternoon, I think).

It sounded as if Joan did not have much to do, but I am sure she looked elegant as always.  The rest of the cast included Don Ameche and Paul Lynde.

It's possible that the network will repeat the film--those of you who have it might want to check your schedules.

I seen this movie a couple of months ago when it was on one of the Encore Movie Channels. Although you do not see Joan until about half way through. It is fun to see her in the movie and she does look good. I think Joan Bennett is one of the most beautiful actresses ever.

I happened upon a movie several weeks ago on Turner South called "This House Possessed" and thought the scruffy old bag lady character looked familiar.  It was indeed Joan Bennett!!
