Given the nature of DS, cemeteries and coffins were a part of the decor. Besides Barnabas, what characters found themselves in closed quarters and in what storylines?

Trask, who thanks to Barnabas, will have a nice long, uncomfortable sleep in very close quarters. All well deserved brick bats I might add! [heh]

During the Cassandra storyline, Cassandra/Angelique puts a "death" spell on Liz, who fears she will be buried alive. She has a Masoleum built with a special coffin that has a bell attached to it on the inside. While she is buried alive in a coma "death like state" she manages to ring the bell to alert others to her fate.
Another one is during the same storyline as above: Barnabas is buried alive behind a brick wall by the ghost of Trask, in revenge for what he did to him in 1795.
Gregory Trask is buried alive in a secret room in the West Wing by his "wife" Judith, for revenge on him for being such a lousy husband during the 1897 storyline.
Once again, Barnabas is buried alive while thought to be dead during the Adam storyline. He is finally rescued by Julia & Prof.Stokes,

During the Leviathan storyline, Quentin was buried alive by zombies under Jeb's control.
