The movie "That Darn Cat!" with Grayson Hall will be on the Hallmark channel today, Saturday, April 16 from 10 Am to 1 PM Central time. :D

I despise Disney movies of the 60s, but I am going to catch this one.

PS - BTW, showtime according to my guide (Direct TV) is 11:30am - 2pm on the East Coast.

WELL! This rots. I turned on the Hallmark Channel this morning and found that it was a Pay-For-Access channel. >:( What!! Oh pulleeeeeeze. This $88 a month for tons of channels and not getting certain ones desired around here, sucks. For half the price we can get satellite and not have to pay extra for Turner Classic Movies.
No Grayson this morning. :'(
Plus no Hayley Mills. I like Hayley Mills movies.
We're getting satellite. (Plus it has Soapnet)

- Just finished watching the tape, and I have to agree - it was a dumb movie and Grayson had very little screen time. She was a hostage held by two bankrobbers - one was Frank Gorshin. She spent all her time either gagged or pleading "Please don't kill me".
That Darn Cat was in 1965 - Night of the Iguana was in 1964.
Has anyone seen "Gargoyles"? Is that worth watching - i mean, just to see Grayson?

I actually love "That Darn Cat." Always have. Aside from the improbablility of Dorothy Provine and Hayley Mills being sisters, it had a good cast and I thought it was cute. Not amazing critically, but a lot of fun.
Anyhow, Gargoyles. Oh, it's worth seeing. It's an atrocious piece of trash, but in a good way. Grayson has a small part as a booze-soaked, housecoat-wearing motel clerk with the hots for anything in trousers. Great fun ;D

This stuff is horrible. I was thinking, the only reality show I could imagine being worthwhile would have been Chasin' Grayson. What fun, and how interesting to have been able to just follow her throughout a day - interacting with people, commenting about this and that, cooking dinner, having a friend or two (read D. Selby) over for dinner....Can you imagine being able to sit in on the dinner conversation??
Now THERE'S a reality show. (Emmy-winning for sure)

I think her work in TDC was the least interesting of all GH's film roles. Apparently she charmed the Great Walt on the set--he came by to visit one day and kept coming by to chat with her.
In the Hall family, the release of this movie was a big event, because it was the first Matt's classmates got wind of the fact that his Mom was an actress. Of course, the reaction was small potatoes to what happened a couple of years later when she showed up on EVERYBODY's favorite show...
