List a reason of how DS had a huge impact on television

Not sure, but hopefully it killed 'live to tape' (with no retakes) forever, and made the powers that be realize that every show deserves a decent budget, and that every actor on a show should be able to at least act their way out of a paper bag, and last but not least, that someone should keep records regarding continuity.
