John Karlen:  Dan, I feel this scene would work better if I were carrying some alien creature in the basket.
Dan:  I don't think it would work.  This is more memorable as is.

OMG!!  It's SO true!!  The "master" of the rip-off our Dan Curtis is!  Even DS was a rip-off for him from Art Wallace!
