What's always bugged me is, since it's made of silver, shouldn't it be bothersome to Barnabas when he's a vampire since he can also be killed by silver bullets just like a werewolf can?   [hdscrt]

Here ve see the vulf engaged in a life or death stroogle wit ze vampire!    See how he stroogles to break free, even ztraining so hard that he iz bending his own neck!    Note that he iz capable of alchemy, to defend himzelf!
