Title: lovely lady
Post by: denise on March 31, 2002, 02:34:10 AM
Is it only me but KLS seems to be getting lovelier with each scene. The last one where she returns from  her disappointing meeting with Barnabas and meets with
Nathan and Millicent in the foyer is my favorite. Anybody
else have a favorite? Also it seems that in the beginning of the 1795 episodes she was experimenting with various hair pieces which didn't suit her. I think she finally hit on the right combination because it all comes together just right. Also did she do her own make up or was it done for her?

Denise............

I noticed that with KLS too on Friday.  I don't know who does her makeup but I think she looks so much nicer now.  Amazing what a hair-do can do for someone huh?

I don't know about KLS, but Joel Crothers looksvery sexy with his hairstyle. I think the dreaded Big Hair would do Mr. Sexy absolutely nooooo favors. :-*

I agree Ms. Scott does get lovelier with each scene. I do believe that she did her own make-up. This was mentioned in "The Dark Shadows Companion" by Lara Parker. She comments about Scott as follows:
"Kathryn Leigh Scott gave the character of Josette innocence and warmth. She was a serious actress who was always inventive and prepared. She had delicacy and reserve, and her skin was like porcelain. But she did her own make-up, which I found amazingly brash,...Her acting always seemed effortless."

Hi Denise, I agree with you. In the beginning of the 1795 eps, I didn't care for those hair pieces she wore. They didn't fit her well. These past few eps show a different kind of hairstyle which looks just great on her. It's too bad though, that while she looks great, she has to endure all this sadness around her. :(
