Title: Dennis Patrick on Mannix on MeTV
Post by: Mysterious Benefactor on August 23, 2017, 04:27:23 AM
I just noticed that a 1974 ep of Mannix that features Dennis Patrick will be on MeTV at 2am ET.

He had a smaller than usual part for him. But he was definitely memorable because he played a not very nice guy - and he plays that type of role so well.

I still remember him as "the Golden Man" on Lost In Space where he carried Judy through a "mine-field" of underinflated beach balls.

Somewhere in my collection I have an autographed photo of Dennis as Mister Keema. He thoughtfully added 14K to the inscription.

Are you serious, Uncle Roger?  He spent more on that than the whole of LIS spent on that episode.

Quite serious, Gerard. And it was his idea.

Uncle Roger, I'm so envious!  Back then, LIS and DS were my favorite, never-missed shows.  To have an autographed photo of a cast member/guest star who appeared on both would definitely be gold!

I've met all of the Lost in Space cast, with the exception of Guy Williams. Angela Cartwright, Bill Mumy and Marta Kristen were all very engaging. As was Jonathan Harris. If you wanted the Dr. Smith persona, he was more than happy to do that. When I mentioned an earlier series that he had done (The Third Man, with Michael Rennie), he dropped the Smith routine and we had a short but very intelligent conversation. At my request, he did inscribe the photo You Bubble Headed Booby.
