Quentin: "I'll always remember you, Daphne. At least until the next storyline."

[pointing-up]  Exactly! Quentin is always falling in love with the love of his life - but come the next storyline (or even the same storyline when it comes to his jump in 1897 from Beth to Amanda) he's moved on with seemingly no memory of the previous love of his life!!  ::)  [lghy]  [thumbright]

Which, in my opinion, makes Quentin seem shallow in the long run. While the eternal search for the Josette of the week got to be a bit tiresome after awhile, it did give Barnabas a lot more pathos than Quentin ever had. While the character's lack of commitment is true to form, it still makes him appear immature.

No doubt that Daphne would be forgotten as well.

([pointing-up]  Yes, one of the very few ways Barnabas' personality might outshine Quentin's is that at least Barnabas is faithful to the woman in his life! Psychotically faithful! But faithful, nonetheless...)

Interesting that Barnabas and his devotion are regarded as romantic, while Angelique is regarded as psychotic.

([pointing-up]  And yet their behavior is basically the same. It's amazing how members of an audience will completely ignore or completely harp on a character's behavior to suit their own views, be it love or hate of that character...)

They each have their diversions/fixations along the way but the LTR always goes back to Barnabas and Angelique. I'm sure that the show would have picked things up pretty much where they left off.

([pointing-up]  I'm sure they would have. And it would have been fascinating to see how they would have gone about doing it...)

It would have interesting to see where the relationship would have gone next. There wouldn't have been a KLS or Alexandra character to be the third side of the triangle and I'm not sure if a return of Roxanne Drew was in the cards. Julia would probably still be left out of the picture, no matter what.

(Without a doubt!!  [ghost_rolleyes])
