Oh man! I've always wanted to see Rebecca! Too bad I don't have TCM in my dorm room.  :-[ Maybe I can get my mom to tape it for me on I-Control. She always loves watching old movies anyways. I'm sure she'll catch Wuthering Heights when that's on. XD

i would have posted this in advance if i had known but last night i stumbled across a very late showing of "the son of monte cristo" starring joan bennett.it was a swashbuckler where joan played some sort of princess.

it was made in 1940 so joan was quite young and i have to say that she was spectacularly beautiful laden with period costume, wigs and pounds of jewelry.
as always happens when i see ms.bennett in something else(no matter how old she is)as soon as she opens her mouth all i hear is "liz". :P

Rebecca is a wonderful movie; it made Joan Fontaine a real favorite with me. I've been threatening to read the book ever since I was a teenager, but never have. Maybe one day before I retire... ;)
