Title: Extremely Obscure Dennis Patrick movie
Post by: Uncle Roger on March 09, 2017, 06:01:52 PM
While looking for something else on Google images, I managed to stumble onto an early credit for Dennis Patrick. It's called The Strip Tease Murder Case. No, Dennis doesn't strip; no Chippendales in 1950. The film is sort of a murder mystery interrupted by what would be politely called specialty numbers. Dennis has dark hair in it, like Jason McGuire. And he is the only cast member to have had any long term success in acting. He is billed under his real name, Dennis Harrison. Which may be why the film remains largely unknown in DS circles. And possibly why he adopted a stage name. He appears very briefly in the trailer (which is on YouTube) but has no dialogue. The film itself is available from Something Weird, which it certainly is
Judging by what I saw in the trailer, it makes Plan Nine from Outer Space seem like Streetcar Named Desire.
It's definitely Dennis' answer to Satan In High Heels.

Interesting. I've always wanted to see this film Dennis did with Agnes Moorehead in the early 1970s.  I think it was called DEAR DEAD DELILAH.  I did find some clips on youtube but the last I heard, the movie had only ever been released on VHS (if that--might have been grey market VHS).

That's it, Gothick. There's an isolated clip on YouTube from Strip Tease Murder Case of Dennis singing. Not too bad a voice.
