We've been using Verizon DSL for a little over a year, but, my husband says too much money.
So....we have to go back to :- :'( :- :'( dial up...waaaah.
Could my cousins using dial up please IM me and tell me what they use, cost, experience, if it stays connected, problems with pop-ups, etc.
Thanks so much,
Patti
PS...I see Netscape has a dial up service for $9.99...but, usually, don't you get what you pay for?
And, another PS...the way MB/a few others feel about Microsoft, I feel about AOL >:D >:(

I don't know anything about Netscape's service, but price isn't necessarily an indicator of quality. Many ISPs initially charge less than their competitors because they hope to attract a lot of clients. And then even after they have, they believe in rewarding those clients by keeping prices low.

I'm definitely not a fan of AOL either. ;)

I definitely despise AOL. I don't know what service to recommend, since right now I use RoadRunner...

I have Earthlink. I've thought of trying the Netscape since it's cheaper, but as I've been satisfied with Earthlink, I've been hesitant to change. I've never had problems with it and they have toll-free support.

SBC Yahoo has been charging $26.99 for their DSL service. Is that too much for hubby? They also have dial up service which is ok. I can use either DSL or dial in on SBC Yahoo. You also don't have to use their crudy software either. I can say you will be frustrated after you switch back with the slooooooooooow connection speed.
