[thumbleft] And can you imagine if Madeline Kahn had played Leticia?! [a1f5]
-
She was apparently in NYC at the time, so it's certainly conceivable that she would have ended up on a soap.
-
([pointing-up] I've loved Madeline Kahn since the first moment I saw her in What's up Doc? - and she stole every scene she was in in that film!! And that's something when you're acting against someone like Barbra Streisand.)
-
Some pictures have really surfaced of Madeline in an early 1960's review with Dixie Carter and Lily Tomlin. That must have been a hoot. And she did play Tonya the witch opposite Jerry Lacy in Strangest Shadows.
-
([pointing-up] Yes! I'd forgotten all about the Strangest Shadows skit! Perfect preparation! [nodassent] I'd also completely forgotten that I'd seen Madeline Kahn's work long before What's Up Doc?.
I wonder if any of Comedy Tonight even still exists? Given how things from back then were often taped over, maybe not...)
-
The clip used to be on YouTube, as I watched it not that long ago. However, it isn't there now. But, as we've seen with the 2004 pilot, those things can come and go at a moment's notice.
-
([pointing-up] That's too bad because I would have loved to have seen some clips from the show. I only have the vaguest of memories of what they did...)
