Title: <OT But Come On
Post by: Patti Feinberg on November 28, 2016, 05:33:50 AM
I just purchased the DVD, "The Big Clock".

The 'come on' is because it stars one of the best, Ray Milland.
It also stars Charles Laughton.
It's a 'film noir', but it sounds suspenseful.

Has anyone seen it? Good price on eBay.

I have. It's just good. I think it's Laughton's only directing job but I could be wrong.

I haven't seen it in years. It's much, much better than the remake with Kevin Costner called No Way Out. Elsa Lanchester is in it too. Keep your eyes open for MASH star Harry Morgan (billed as Henry Morgan) and Noel Neill (Lois Lane!) as an elevator operator.

Laughton didn't direct this one-- it was John Farrow, married to O'Sullivan at the time and Mia's dad.

Laughton didn't direct this one-- it was John Farrow, married to O'Sullivan at the time and Mia's dad.

And, what I read on IMDb was that since she hadn't worked in a few years (having kids), she had to audition for the role (directors have alot/most of the say on who gets a part, yes?)
