The screening of Lust For a Vampire
-
[pointing-up] I love, Love, LOVE IT!! [rofl10] [thumb]
-
Hopefully, the movie won't give Barnabas any new ideas about vampire behavior.
-
([pointing-up] Hopefully not!! [ghost_nowink]
You know, I've seen that movie, but I don't honestly remember much about it other than that Ralph Bates of Dr Jekyll & Sister Hyde was in it...)
-
It's one of my favorites, starring the lovely and talented Yutte Stensgaard as a vampire doing her best to solve the problems of overcrowded classrooms at a school for the hopelessly nubile. And it's not every day that you get to see a Swedish actress play a Romanian vampire dubbed with a British accent. [easter_wink] [easter_wink]

(Yes, she was doing a much needed service for the school! [nodassent])

(Very true!! [lghy])

Parallel Funkytown
a school for the hopelessly nubile.
like that phrase.
-
The American trailer is absolutely hysterical, something about a finishing school where they really do finish you. The film itself is on YouTube.

Love it!! [a1f5] [thumbleft]

I just watched and, yes, I love that tag line!! [lghy]
The film itself is on YouTube.
Really - I'll have to check it out once I get a chance...
-
I met Yutte at Chiller Theatre a few years ago. Still an attractive woman but somewhat embarrassed by her claim to fame.
-
(Thanks MB! And thanks for a lot of other nice remarks that I haven't answered individually...)
-
somewhat embarrassed by her claim to fame.
(I have to say that shroud she's wearing in the trailer looks like a cross between Angelique's and hoDS Carolyn's. Half the fun of watching the film again will be to see how that shroud plays in the scenes she wears it in!! [b003])
-
Spoiler (kind of): [spoiler]There are parts of the film where she isn't wearing the shroud. Or anything else. She is indeed quite Yutteable[/spoiler]

(Why doesn't that surprise me?! [easter_wink] [easter_cheesy])

There's a fair amount of nudity throughout the Karnstein trilogy. The Vampire Lovers is probably the best of the bunch, largely due to the presence of Ingrid Pitt, who was one of the best actresses to work in these film. The zenith or nadir, depending on your point of view, comes with the final film, Twins of Evil. It features the identical twins Mary and Madeleine Collinson, whose qualification for the job was seemingly being the first identical twins to pose for Playboy. Something Patty and Cathy would never have done, let alone Angelique and Alexis. [easter_rolleyes]

([pointing-up] Angelique would have never persuaded Alexis!! [ghost_nowink])
