Title: Majestic Studios website
Post by: PennyDreadful on January 21, 2005, 01:28:27 AM
I just went to the website for Majestic Studios who are supposed to be releasing the upcoming DS action figures and noticed their website is expired.  Weird.

I hope this doesn't indicate the company is having problems.  I am really looking forward to these DS figures.  Someone is finally making DS figures and I hope it definitely happens.

I get to the site like this.....

figures.com
events
San Diego Comic Con 2004
Majestic Studio
Dark Shadows

then I put their pictures (Barnabas and Quentin) on my Favorites site.  Then I always have them at a minutes notice..and to order them in the fall.

I used your link and just deleted the "/expired/" and it worked fine. There was however no listing for the DS action figures at that sight. So I used Terry's route and found the pictures from the ComicCon. Here is a direct link.

I think the Barnabus is really pretty good. Especialy the old head, really caught Mr. Frid's expressions. But Quentin is way off. Nothing like Selby at all IMHO.

That's odd.  Maybe the site was just down last night.  ???  Thanks for letting me know it is back up.  ToyFair is coming up fairly soon.  Maybe they'll have the rumored Angelique and Julia figures there!

Yeah, the Barnabas head sculpts are more accurate than Quentin's, but I still think he's pretty cool too.  I'm sure the alternate werewolf head will look really nifty though.

I didn't like the Frid that was smiling with fangs.  Looked really cheesy.  I thought the old Barnabas doll looked best.  Are these supposed to be on sale in the near future?

I heard they were going to be on sale in "the fall".  I figured 2005.  Keep your fingers crossed. [_Vampire_]

Does anyone know the average price.

I too thought the aged Barn to look authentic.

too bad they won't be ready for the Fest in Hollywood. What a ready made market!

I believe the figures will be in the $40.00 range.

Majestic also has the license for DS statues and busts.  Those generally tend to be pretty expensive (at least from what I've seen with other properties) but I'm sure they'll look really awesome.
