Another person is selling a complete set of DS MPI VHS tapes as well as hoDS and NoDS on VHS. Check out the details:
Dark Shadows Collection - $250 (http://jackson.craigslist.org/emd/5778222365.html)

Not a bad price at all, about a buck a video (if they're in good condition). Back in the 90's, I contemplated buying the whole set in one fell swoop and called MPI and asked how much it would cost. The guy said he didn't know - no one ever wanted to buy the whole spiel at one time; he'd have to call me back. He did and said they would sell it all to me for $1,000, shipping included. I never followed through, not because I couldn't afford it back then, but just because I thought having over 200 videos would be a bit much and I had limited space.

At one of the Friends of the 1991 DSTarrytown events, someone was trying to give away a complete set of tapes (without the movies) and couldn't unload them, so this person may have a difficult time getting $250.for them.

Uncle Roger,
Do you remember when KLS was shilling the MPI videotapes on commercials shown during the Sci-Fi Channel's airing of Dark Shadows over 15 years ago? (My, it seems like only yesterday!) [ghost_rolleyes] [ghost_wink]
-
She's moved on to shilling for other things. The more things change....
-
It seems as if KLS and Jim Pierson collaborate on many projects also.

Uh, as soon as my husband hooks up the VCR, I was going to go through my VHS tapes.
Then, I was going to ask if anyone here wanted my UNMARked (no episode numbers) DS VHSs (you'd pay shipping).
Am I duffy?
[spoiler]I heard that Midnite [ghost_cheesy][/spoiler]

I didn't say a word, Patti. [ghost_happy]

I didn't read the first two sentences.
Mine are NOT MPI; they're recorded off TV.

Patti's post reminds me that I must have my complete set of VHS tapes recorded from the Sci-Fi channel's airing of the series. Commercials and all ... with a handful of missed episodes supplemented by the tapes purchased by MPI (and if I can recall far enough back, I even think that Midnite might have supplied me with a recording of an early episode I missed!). I don't see any point in keeping them if I ever work my way back to the plastic bins where they must be in the basement now ... Having the complete set on DVD is a major improvement (no cable problems, no commercials, not to say a more convenient media format). I thought again recently about whether to purchase that complete set in the wooden coffin from MPI ... as a backup - but really have nowhere to put it ...

...but we couldn't sell ours (since they're recorded off Sci-fi).
But, just out of curiosity, would anyone want the entire series on VHS (again, not numbered)??
