I assume you're talking about the fact that the number of new topics and the number of posts were so low in October.

I wouldn't worry about it.  October was a busy month....World Series....important election......

Unfortunately, the death of Don Briscoe has resulted in an increase of posts....news of that sort always does.  I wish we were posting like mad because we were all watching the New Dark Shadows on the WB.....but that never happened.

But as a wise moderator told me once.....this has been going on for 40 years already, and it's not going to disappear any time soon.

Apparently not.  So, as with all forum inquiries, please provide enough information so that your question may be answered.

Since it's for real and therefore not a joke, why ask a technical question but exclude the moderator, particularly since in the case of this board it happens to be the webmaster?

If up top, you click the arrow, the word FORUMS disappears.

That may be what it does for you, Patti.....but when I click that little arrow on the left, the History box disappears but the word Forum remains the same.  If I click the little arrow again, the History box returns.

I learned a long time ago (because I was cursed with IE as a browser) that I could never assume that everyone else (or even ANYONE else) was seeing things exactly the way I was... ;)

So true.  Thanks for clarifying, Patti.

If up top, you click the arrow, the word FORUMS disappears.

File that one under:
other weird things have happened to other features when I visit using IE so I can't say I'm surprised

It's an Explorer thing.

There's actually a good reason why that particular box can disappear. The info that's currently displaying in the History box will eventuaully be replaced with something entirely different - it's just that routine to display it hasn't been written yet. Just one of the many things on my To Do list...

File almost every weird thing that happens under "It's an Explorer thing."  ::)
