is there still interest? I've been thinking about pulling out some of my tapes and dvds and writing up some columns. Yes? No?
-
Definitely yes! You always bring fresh insights - not to mention a lot of humor to your commentaries. (http://www.dsboards.com/dsb05/Smileys/thumb.gif)

What he said. :D

I just love your fashion notes, and there's been plenty of that to comment upon in 1897. And, oh dear, both Charity and Laura have just entered the scene--dear God!
I also love the ruthless tone you take with certain characters...
-
Yes, yes, please give us more idle thoughts! :D

discussing the d.s. fashion is my favorite subject on earth!i'm all for reading about it...but like the "robservations" i can't quite navigate the "idle thoughts",it seems to start in the 700 episodes(which is farther along than what i've seen).is that correct?i'd love to read them from the start of the show and go foreward.

Actually, there are older topics archived as Luciaphil's Idle Thoughts I. You can locate it on the main page (look for the child board under Luciaphil's Idle Thoughts) or directly above this board's main listing.

She began writing them in 2002 while, I believe, the SciFi channel was airing the 1795 eps.

I guess I should just say "ditto"!! Always love them :)

I've been all over the place with the columns for years. Based on the enthusiastic response (Thank you!--don't worry, I am not going to go all Sally Fields on you all), I probably will start from the beginning.

I probably will start from the beginning.
I would enjoy that immensely.
dom (fingers crossed)

Please, Luciaphil, may I have some more?
These are so much fun to read, you really give a great feel for the shows. I love the fashion report and your comments on "how this is still only Vicki's second day". Good work on the snide remarks too.
Keep these coming, please.

Hope you don't mind me putting this here Luciaphil....
Watching Count Petofi [santa_thumb] (my fav)...he's wearing a shirt with a very 1970 collar. It's almost pseudo-British mod, it's too long/large.
It's been mentioned in the past, but Petofi's Foster-Gray coke-bottle eye glasses bother me too; come on folks!!
Anyway...I'm glad there's a place to rant about the wrong fashions!!
Happy New Year!!

I'm new to the forum and am just beginning to read your "Idle Thoughts". I love them! Please, please keep them coming! You have a true gift.

Bring it on, Luciaphil. Great insights, plus fun comments on DS hair and fashion... which was often scarier than the actual proceedings at Collinwood. Particularly enjoying your feedback on those early episodes that established the characters of Elizabeth, Roger, Carolyn, David and Vicki. Summer of '66.... ahh.... life's never been the same since.
