Title: New Phishing Attack Uses Old IE Exploit
Post by: Mysterious Benefactor on November 06, 2004, 02:43:58 AM
A new phishing attack is utilizing a vulnerability in Internet Explorer, patched early this year, to hide its true source. Citifraud.A appears to come from a bank. Find out more about this "high" level threat (http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1713548,00.asp?kc=ewnws110504dtx1k0000599)

I've actually received this e-mail at least four times in the last month. But, of course, I don't use IE, and I also don't have a credit card with CitiBank, so I deleted them without even bothering to check them out. IE users should definitely do the same.
