Title: DS image on tonight's SAG Awards
Post by: Midnite on January 31, 2016, 04:13:47 AM
John P. Connell wasn't the only DS alum seen in the Memoriam section of the SAG Awards ceremony.  However, he's the only one whose image was from his appearance on DS:

I'm watching now. Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for it. My favorite episode and I don't remember him. Go figure.

Dom, I'm sure you saw that Elizabeth Wilson was included, and she was in Ep #1.  [snow_smiley]

That's an incredible choice for him.  I don't remember Riley either.  Somebody involved in that show production must be a fan.  Lovely to see our beloved foyer and a bit of the drawing room in the photo!

You know you're a DS fan when you're visiting your parents and see Abe Vigoda's obit on a TV news show (I never watch television when I'm at home) and think, "Oh no, Ezra!"

That's an incredible choice for him.

Not to take away from the fact that they chose a DS ep to showcase him, but I honestly suspect that the biggest reason they chose DS is because, with all the DS eps available on DVD, his DS eps are much more easily available than almost anything else he did. If one checks him out on IMDb, nearly all his credits are from the 50s and 60s for things that aren't readily available and may even be lost (like his eps of Studio One and Goodyear Playhouse.)
