Daniel having a dream, where his mother is calling to him.
Hmm...wonder why no one thought of that before.... [snow_laugh]
I hope this question isn't a spoiler; why did Alexis come to town. If she didn't come to meet her nephew before, why bother now???

I don't think we ever get an explanation of why Alexis shows up in the first place. Hey, it's the DS universe! No explanations necessary!
Cyrus then goes to the Eagle, looking very ill at ease, and orders a sherry. Like the Blue Whale, the Eagle hasn’t changed its jukebox records since 1966. [We hear the Blue Whale theme, and the window looks like the Blue Whale window through which the werewolf jumped.] The bartender (Kenneth McMillan, later Rhoda Morgenstern’s boss and then Baron Harkonnen in Dune) smiles at his choice of drink and has to open a bottle.

Curses upon you my lady!
(Translations: thanks for the info!!!)

Alexis traveled to Collinwood from Europe because she sensed a need to be there. She somehow avoided hearing news of her sister's death until she got there. Maybe it was the psychic connection of identical twins.

I think you got that from me, but if not, I've never known anyone before who knew both those things...
I thought Alexis turned up to mourn Angelique.

Thanks, guys! I don't make this stuff up, I just report it. Hollywood is certainly a weird place!
I'm more on the side of the twin-affinity reason for Alexis's showing up. At one point she says that she and Angelique (and Tim for that matter) were never very close.

Hmm...I wonder if it's because Alexis knows her father's blatant favoritism.

I think it's pretty clear--and I think Alexis even says so--that Tim liked Angelique better than her. The fact that Alexis lived in Europe, far away from Collinsport, is pretty good evidence that she wanted nothing to do with either of them.
